Normally, a civil servant — the disbursing officer for the payment center — would sign federal checks, said Don Hammond, a former senior Treasury Department official.

Never letting a chance go by, narcissist-in-chief trump wants to tag his name onto the relief payments passed by Congress, notwithstanding that most payments will be done electronically.  Moron.

Amid coronavirus crisis, Trump says: ‘I don’t 

believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators’

Trump on Thursday night expressed doubt that New York really needed tens of thousands of ventilators, despite the urgent pleas from health-care professionals and that state’s governor.

In a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, Trump suggested there doesn’t need to be that steep of a ramp-up in production.

“I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals, sometimes they’ll have two ventilators. And now all of a sudden they’re saying, ‘can we order 30,000 ventilators?’”

“I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said in some areas are just bigger than they’re going to be,” Trump said, noting that ventilators are expensive to make.

“Look, it’s a very bad situation,” he continued. “We haven’t seen anything like it. But the end result is we gotta get back to work and I think we can start by opening up certain parts of the country.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that in a worst-case scenario, between 2.4 million and 21 million Americans could require hospitalization — many of whom would require ventilators. There are an estimated 100,000 ventilators in the U.S. and some predict that the U.S. could need up to 750,000 to deal with the pandemic.

People continue to die and the moron-in-chief trump continues to downplay the impact of the virus to the point of discouraging necessary equipment to save the dying.  This is life and death and he continues to put his reelection above all else. 

It's time for this moron to STFU and let the qualified professionals lead.

Redefining Dumb And Dumber

Liberty University’s president, Jerry Falwell Jr, defied nationwide calls for mandatory school closures, inviting students to return amid a worsening coronavirus pandemic. Falwell is a major and vocal backer of Donald Trump and evangelicals are a core part of the president’s support base.

Up to 5,000 students will be allowed to return to Liberty University’s campus after school officials confirmed the conservative Christian school based in Lynchburg, Virginia, will reopen this week.

“I think we, in a way, are protecting the students by having them on campus together,” Falwell said. Falwell then invoked a since disproven theory that young people “don’t have conditions that put them at risk”.

Medical experts, and anyone with common sense, know that social distancing and isolation is one of the ways to beat Coronavirus.

Moron-in-chief trump continues to ignore the experts, saying it is nearly time to scrap these efforts, even saying he wants to “fill the churches on Easter.”  

Along comes moron #2, Jerry Falwell, Jr., telling the Liberty University lemmings to return to the campus en masse.

These morons are redefining “Dumb and Dumber.”

Richard Burr, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee which was directly briefed on coronavirus, sold up to $1.7m in stock between January and February.

Dianne Feinstein, on the same committee, sold up to $6m in stock in same period.

Kelly Loeffler, wife of the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange and member of the Senate Health Committee, sold up to $3.1m in stock starting on the day her committee was briefed by the CDC.

James Inhofe sold up to $400k in stocks including real estate all on January 27.

We are being warned about Coronavirus scams and along comes four senators who dumped millions of dollars in stock after learning about the virus in closed congressional meetings.

We are back on the farm, home early from our winter stay in Arizona, due to the Covid19 virus.  Because of our ages we are self isolated, essentially quarantined in our home.  No doubt this will pass, no thanks to the moron-in-chief trump.

The facts are clear that this administration blew it.  For a concise descriptive review read the margaret and helen blog.  While satirical, it is backed up by facts.

The Mueller report went only halfway.  The impeachment trial failed.  Now it is up to voters to end this nightmare and end the moniker "moron nation."
