Farm Activities

The spring rain we've been having here on the farm has been a two edged sword.

While it has been great for the grass, it means that we mow every 3 or 4 days to keep up.

Servicing the mowers, including oil and filter changes, insures that we can keep up with the mowing.  Sharpening blades is the harder of the servicing tasks as it becomes more difficult to get up off the floor the older I get.  With three blades on each mower it requires a lot of crawling underneath.

The pasture is lush with grass and the nice neighbor farmer brought eleven heifers this past week.

We've been so busy with farm activities that the craft beer quest has been put on hold for now.  As we get into the summer heat the grass will slow down and a trip with the camper to a craft brewery can be planned.
